With FATE Core coming in March, I'm holding off on developing more on MW2039 until then.

I've returned to FATE as the system of choice for MW2039.

Design Diary #1

One of the hardest parts of this particular setting I'm coming across is knowing what to put into the setting. With such a mish-mash of cross genre, it really comes down to what I want to portray and how I want to portray it. This isn't like creating your standard fantasy game. This game requires more, I think for the beginning I'll use the 'brick' aspect of space travel between planets to make it the "redline" in the Indiana Jones movies, that will allow scene changes without creating complicated space battles. Travel thru MaX Gates becomes a story tool, a red travel line across the solar system map,  between terrestrial settings.
